Artwork no3

Olivia Tiedemann's journey into cooking started at 18 when she stumbled into a restaurant job, unsure of her path. Her boss insisted she attend cooking school first, so she packed off to a farm in Ireland for four months, mastering knife skills and seasonal produce.

High-pressure kitchens followed, teaching her valuable lessons but leaving her drained. She craved connection with diners, which led her to a pivotal 2023 opportunity: becoming a private chef for an elderly couple in the Hamptons. Olivia sold everything and moved upstate for the summer, cooking daily meals and hosting lavish dinners.

Adjusting to living where she worked was tough at first, but bonding with the couple eased her fears. Despite marathon days from Thursday to Sunday, starting early and ending late, Olivia enjoys the autonomy of crafting menus for influential guests. Challenges like broken ovens and culinary mishaps are part of the job, but she thrives on delivering memorable dining experiences amid the Hamptons' social whirlwind.

Her influence, candid manner and exquisite cooking has watched her gain 2 million follows on social media, she has demonstrated.. that a woman’s place is most definitely in the kitchen.
