Anthony Bourdain

from £30.00

Anthony Bourdain.

The man who gave an industry a voice through his book “kitchen confidential”.

He was a man without pretensions, who acted as the perfect conduit to the highest echelons of the food industry and the ethnic street food of far flung countries.

Loved for his dry wit, intelligence and humility. He was a champion of the dispossessed. He was positive about people and loved new cultures.

Professionally he was a journey man chef.. ultimately running the French brassiere “ Les Halles” in New York City. He had a previous life of drug addiction, debauchery and poverty. All of which he documented in his writing, with wit, humanity and bare knuckled honesty.

He was loved and real and sadly missed.

He died of suicide on June 8th 2018
