Orford lighthouse
A legacy on the Suffolk coast, that only exists in photos and memories.
Decommissioned in 2013 and demolished in 2019. Orford lighthouse fell victim to a crumbling coast line, beach erosion slowly ate away the iconic structure.
Many societies tried in vain to rebuild, memorialise or stave off the inevitable. Sadly it wasn’t to be. To many, a memory of the lighthouse still remains within the night sky.
