The 106th ever captain of Ireland.. replacing Rory Best in 2019 and officially in 2020.
synonymous with Irish ☘️ rugby brilliance. Johnny was world rugby player of the year in 2018 and has been nominated 3 times.
Although his club career has taken him to France, it is with Leinster that he is at home.
arguably the strongest captain of the Strongest Irish side.. It’ll be a sad day for Irish rugby when he eventually hangs up his boots.
Fun fact - in 2009 , in a game that saw Ireland beat the current world champions South Africa (15-11), it was revealed afterwardsthat Sexton (who had scored all 15 points) had played with a broken hand.
